This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Job Description Construction Field Supervisor1.The Aim of the FunctionThe main purpose of this role is to check the quality of the construction and oversee the progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner and according to the applicable specifications and requirements.The aim is to provide an efficient support service for all technical (site) matters to the Project Field Director as required and to produce high quality reports in a timely manner.2.Place in the Organizationa.Reports directly to the Project Field Director.b.Works closely together with the Project Team (see Organization Chart) on site. c.Works closely together with the Project Cost Controller, with respect to changes during construction and/or extra and unforeseen costs.d.Works closely together with the Design and Build Contractor on site. e.Works closely together with all other parties involved in the construction, such as the racking company, the MHE_Contractor, the installer of the cranes, etc.f.Presents Weekly Progress Reports to the Project Field Director.3.Assignmentsa.Direct Support Project Field Director:Prepares/reviews reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress. Monitors the activities of (sub)contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures. Keeps project management informed of project status, highlighting deviations from plans and specifications. Anticipates potential problem areas and analyzes and recommends solutions or corrective actions.Ensures all safety codes (OSHA), requirements and standards are being complied within assigned area of responsibility.Monitors scheduled work to be performed and reviews work accomplished.Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.b.Project PlanningAuthorized to adapt the Overall Site Program as issued at the start of the Project Site Activities.Acting as the consultant to the Project Field Director. Serving as the liaison between the Principle Contractor and all other Subcontractors, concerning the Overall Program.c.Quality Assurance and Quality ControlControlling and assuring Quality of the work in general by the main contractor. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.Monitoring the (Construction) Quality Issue Log List.Monitoring Non-Conformity Reports. Monitoring Punchlist(s).4.Internal and External communication a.The preparation of Project Site Meetings, such as in consultation compiling the agenda, monitoring the progress of the decision, action, etc.b.The Field Supervisor takes the lead during the Daily Site Meetings and prepares the Minutes of Meeting.5.Knowledge, Skills and Abilitiesa.Informatics: MS OFFICE (Excel, Word, MS Project), AUTOCAD (DWG_Viewer). b.Ability to read plans/drawings and interpret data.c.Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.d.Reliable, results-oriented, loyal, perseverance, flexible and proactive.e.Experience in managing and supervising foremen with multiple crews. Ability to plan and see the "big picture".f.A high level of energy and team attitude.g.Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.h.Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
