Responsible for the implementation of the DOE approved Radiation Protection Program (RPP) under 10 CFR 835. Duties include but are not limited to oversight of the Radiation Protection Program staff supporting all assigned functions and elements of the Fluor Idaho Radiation Protection Program, to ensure that site operations are conducted in accordance with contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements.Reports to the Fluor Idaho Radiological Protection Senior Manager. Supervise the day-to-day activities of Radiological Control supervisors and staff support. Authorize ALARA reviews and assignments. Track completion of radiological requirements. Coordinate radiological control coverage for jobs, area walk-throughs, and assessments, and ensure compliance with the ICP Radiological Control Manual, 10 CFR 835, all applicable procedures. Emphasis on spending a significant amount of time in the field performing oversight duties. Review and approve work orders, procedures, and other required records. Ensures all assigned supervisors and radiological staff are qualified and trained to perform assigned duties. Ensures all Technical Specifications and/or SAR requirements related to Radiological controls are met and completed.Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):High School diploma plus 7 years of directly relevant experienceManagement prefers High School diploma and Technical College certification or equivalent in radiation protection. Senior Radiological Control Technician or Radiological Engineer with 8 years of experience and minimum of 3 years of supervisory /management experience.- 40 hour OSHA, and OSHA Supervisor preferred- NRRPT certification preferred- Demonstrated ability to lead an organization and think independently - Active DOE security clearance or the ability to obtain - Strong interpersonal and communications skills - Intermediate PC skills including Microsoft software - Strong math/science skills/aptitude - Extensive experience in working with/controlling TRU waste materials Must apply before midnight EST of May 22, 2018
