STATUS: Part-time; Flex 48-80 hours per pay period
Minimum hours of position per pay period is 48hours; Flex to 80 hours per pay period to cover planned vacations or long term absences which will be included in work schedule a minimum of two weeks in advance when possible.
SHIFT: Shifts and Hours worked will vary
Diet tray set-up, delivery, dishwashing; cafeteria preparation, service and cleanup. Meal preparation for patients, cafeteria and meetings
Organizes tray services and serves beverages on patient trays
Uses dishwashing machine to clean dishes
Delivers trays, late trays, and snacks
Stocks patient areas with food supplies
Keeps cafeteria stocked
Food preparation, cafeteria service
Assists with cleaning, including pots, pans and equipment
Puts away groceries
Participates in quality control and improvement
Maintains strict confidentiality regarding knowledge of all patient information (HIPAA), confidential staff and hospital business
Responsible for establishing and maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships with all staff members
Demonstrates knowledge of basic principles of proper food handling
Prepare and serves food for the morning, noon, and evening meals
Prepares morning, afternoon, and evening nourishments
Pot and pan washing and general cleaning
Participates in quality control and improvement
SKILLS: Basic computer literacy and ability to effectively learn new software programs required
EDUCATION: Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English
EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dishwashing helpful
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical Demands of position are listed in job description
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Maintains food handlers certification
